Rental bases provide the necessary equipment (life jackets, paddles, watertight canisters) and give you safety instructions before you set off. Children must know how to swim!
Sailing on the Dordogne is like cruising through a picture-postcard setting: sheer cliffs, lush green forests, wild birds and the occasional trout in the clear waters. At the end of the day, the golden light on the river offers unforgettable panoramas.
Different routes
Girac → Carennac route: a 1h30-2h00 trail winding along the foot of the cliffs, through some of the valley’s most beautiful landscapes. Return by shuttle bus
Day trips: for the more motivated, full-day trips are available, with stops for swimming, picnics and even a siesta in the shade of the walnut trees. Return by shuttle bus.
